Hi, I'm Alan Good.
I'm the Associate Head Coach at Liberty University, and Assistant Coach for USA Field Hockey's U18 Women's National Team. I've helped my team win eight Big East championships in five seasons and compete for a national championship.

The Dual Perspective
My path from journalist to club coach to college coach gives me a unique perspective on recruiting. I've helped athletes navigate the process as a club coach, and I've made the selections as a college coach. I've seen how families struggle with uncertainty and lack of transparency, which is why I'm passionate about pulling back the curtain on this complex process.
Straight Talk, Not False Hope
Through my newsletters and AI agent, I provide the straight talk families need - combining hard truths about competitive realities, with practical strategies for finding the right fit. My mission is helping athletes find programs where they'll thrive, not just chasing prestigious names. Starting field hockey as an adult gives me empathy for late bloomers and non-traditional paths.
Transparency Over Confusion
I'm a good coach working to be a great one. I share what I learn along the way, bringing transparency to a process that leaves families feeling lost and overwhelmed. Want honest, actionable recruiting guidance without the fluff? Let's work together to navigate your path to college field hockey - whether that's D1, D2, or D3,
I See What You Can't
Families see highlight reels and recruiting rankings. I see practice habits, coachability, and how players respond to adversity. The gap between what you think matters and what we actually evaluate is bigger than you realize.
